WELCOME TO OUR NEW BLOG

Over the past few years since we introduced our website, more and more of you are visiting us for information, customer service and in-home appointments. Currently, we attract about 10,000 visits each month. That tells us there's a lot of interest in all types of flooring, but after more than 80 years in the business, we also know that the wealth of information available can also include a lot of "misinformation." That's where we come in... We hope this BLOG will allow more give and take between our flooring experts and those of you who need help. It will also allow you to share ideas and information with each other.

The green movement is really taking hold in our country as environmental concerns hit us on the news daily. One interesting product is cork, which has actually been used as flooring since the 1800's. Cork is considered "green" because it is harvested from the bark of Mediterranean cork oak trees which live to be 100-120 years old. In fact, there are some trees that are known to be as much as 500 years old.The bark is harvested every 9-11 years while the trees remain alive and healthy. And with improved finishes, today's cork flooring is quiet, comfortable, durable, naturally fire resistant and easy to maintain.

We had the pleasure of working with Mark Strouss last year upon refinishing our basement. He was extremely helpful with ideas since we had 2 different floors to carpet and one having traffic from the garage. He brought all samples to our home, made recommendations on 2 differnet types of carpeting and padding for both floors and the carpets were installed in a timely professional manner. Friends have commented on how nice the carpet feels and looks in our new gameroom. Thank you Bill & Mark for the great service and value.

Our experience with Molyneaux started with working with Becky in the showroom in Cranberry..she was a delight to work with and very helpful. Then Basil came to our home to bring samples and do the measuring of our Living Room, Dining Room and Master Bedroom. He also was informative and helpful not to mention a very nice person. Not your typical salesman. We enjoyed having him in our home and look forward to our installation in March. We are quite sure that all will be well. We highly recommend anyone shopping for flooring to work with Molyneaux.

I ordered carpeting for 2 bedrooms, livingroom, diningroom, hall and steps from the McKnight Road store. The salesman, Michael, was very helpful with our selection. The installers were very courteous and very efficient. They moved all the rooms of furniture without a problem. They even took some of the paintings down off the walls. They cleaned up afterwards and removed all the old carpeting. I had a very good experience. I previously ordered carpeting for another room from them 2 years ago and was very satisfied. That is why I went back again this year. Sandy E
